Dr. Roberta Jurash grew up on the east coast and earned her Bachelor and Master degrees at the University of The Sciences in Philadelphia. She then attended the University of California, San Francisco and received her DDS degree. Dr. Jurash remained at UCSF for several years as a clinical instructor, lecturing and supervising dental students. Dr. Jurash believes that, “continuing education is the key to staying current.” She travels around the country attending continuing education courses, most recently at the Kois Center in Seattle, in order to learn from the best in the field. Closer to home, Dr. Jurash is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Palo Alto Study Club, and the Cerec Study Club. She achieved her Invisalign certification over 10 years ago. She is also a founding member of the Palo Alto Kois Study Club. Dr. Jurash believes in giving back to her community, so she provides free dental care to low-income children in the area and also participates in the Smiles for Life program, which benefits Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital. In her leisure time, she loves to read, travel, and spend time with her family. She is also an avid Pilates and yoga practitioner.
Dr. Hansen, and Dr. Jurash, train under Dr. John Kois. Dr. Hansen and Dr. Jurash both mentor students at the Kois Center in Seattle, WA. The Kois Center is the only Dental Continuing Education Program in the country reviewing, conducting and publishing independent research. This allows our doctors to stay current on all the relevant research in the field.
